Diversity at De Brauw

Diversity: a hype or a necessity? A number of national and international studies show that organisations with teams of both men and women at the top are financially stronger, are more innovative, and the quality of their decision-making is higher. Our clients increasingly explicitly demand teams of both men and women and a diverse group of partners to make the best possible match between client and lawyer for each single case. This means that combining the talents of both men and women at the top is important. De Brauw is a reflection of society and will actively contribute to fostering women's talents and career abilities.
De Brauw's goal for diversity is to have more women move up, so that by 2014 at least 30% of the number of candidates for partner and at least 15% of the total number of partners are women. In 2018, the percentage of women in the number of candidates for partner should be 50% and the percentage of women in the total number of partners 20%.
De Brauw signed the Charter Talent to the Top. The Charter is a public commitment with clear arrangements for achieving our diversity goals. The Charter has been signed by 187 organisations, including PepsiCo, Vodafone, KPN, ABN Amro, the Dutch Public Prosecution Service and TomTom.
