De Brauw acted as Dutch counsel to chipmaker NXP Semiconductors on its initial public offering (IPO) on NASDAQ. NXP Semiconductors has sold approximately 14% of its issued share capital in the IPO, at USD 14 per share (indicating a market cap of approximately USD 3.5 billion). First trading took place on 6 August 2010 and settlement on 10 August 2010. De Brauw also advised NXP on its issue of approximately USD 1 billion 9 3/4% senior secured notes which preceded the IPO.
