World Trademark Review awards De Brauw gold status
De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek has been awarded gold status by the World Trademark Review in its Benelux - Netherlands 2012 rankings. Tobias Cohen Jehoram and Koen Limperg are mentioned as leading individuals.
The WTR 1000 recommends who it considers to be the leaders in the field: only those delivering top-quality trademark services make the cut. According to WTR 1000 even among this elite group it is possible to discern a degree of stratification.
Firms and individuals in the gold band are those that attract the most positive comments from sources. WTR identifies them as the crème de la crème: 'Their success hinges on reputations established over lengthy periods of time, something which enables them to secure the most high-profile, big-ticket work from the most demanding of clients.'
'Tobias Cohen Jehoram is praised across the board as "a remarkably strong figure" who specialises in advising multinational corporations and foreign law firms on major trademark litigation. He also advises clients on the trademark aspects of M&A transactions and the strategic use of trademarks.'
'Luminary Koen Limperg heads the IP practice. Cross-border disputes are a major part of his practice; he is also "highly skilled" in mediation and arbitration.'
