 Arne Grimme on the impact of the financial crisis on the Mergers & Acquisitions market 

According to Mergers & Acquisitions specialist Arne Grimme, partner at De Brauw, the current turmoil in the financial markets throw a spanner in the works. Buyers are worried that economic growth slows down, or worse, they fear that a double dip will postpone M&A adventures.

Grimme: "I expect that in the short term, many transactions are put on hold or at least delayed. Transactions are often realized because both parties take a kind of leap of faith, trusting that everything will be alright. That trust is gone now. But like the Dutch summer you never know what the future will bring. "
