 Tobias Cohen Jehoram on the registration of Dutch politician Geert Wilders as a trademark 

Cohen Jehoram, partner at De Brauw and professor of IP Law at Erasmus University Rotterdam, indicates that Wilders would have to use his own trademark: "If he hasn't used his own trademark in five years, then his right can be revoked. Wilders would thus, for example, need to offer certain commercial lobbying services, and that is exactly what you as a politician may not be deemed to be doing. A politician may not be for sale."
