Diederik Maessen is a senior associate at De Brauw’s Beijing office. He specialises in corporate law and financial law and is predominantly involved in mergers and acquisitions, finance transactions and insolvency & restructuring. Diederik has worked on several cross-border M&A transactions, including outbound M&A transactions for Chinese clients. He has also handled complex cross-border finance and restructuring transactions.

Diederik attended the National University of Singapore for a semester, where he studied corporate finance and Chinese corporate and securities law. He was seconded to the London and Hong Kong offices of Slaughter and May in 2010/2011.
