Niek Biegman is the managing partner of De Brauw's London office. He has a broad London based practice which encompasses Finance, Capital Markets and M&A. Niek advises investment banks, financial institutions, private equity and public companies and also regularly works with U.K., U.S. and international law firms on cross-border transactions.

Prior to moving to London in 2002, Niek focused on Structured Finance, Project Finance and Energy and headed the firm's Public Private Partnership Group.

Recent work includes advising several private equity companies on the acquisiton of companies or assets in the Netherlands, a financial institution and a multinational on the issuance of rating agency driven hybrid securities and a financial institution on a structured energy finance transaction.

Niek is a frequent speaker at international conferences on Finance Law issues.
