Koos de Blécourt specialises in employment law, commercial contracts and litigation. He has advised a broad spectrum of clients on an extensive range of employment matters, including pensions and stock options, and at present Koos concentrates on advising listed companies in their relationship with board members. He also frequently advises on commercial contracts and represents privatised utilities and transport companies in their dealings with government.
Most recent work includes:
- assisting Port Authority of Rotterdam (Havenbedrijf Rotterdam NV) in defending claims of Banks under alleged guarantees in proceedings in London and Amsterdam
- advising on pension issues in recent transactions for Ahold and NDC
- contract work for Authority of Rotterdam (Havenbedrijf Rotterdam NV) in relation to Maasvlakte II terminals.
Koos frequently works closely with law firms abroad when assisting Dutch clients involved in litigation or arbitration in other jurisdictions. He is a former member of the general board of the Dutch Bar Association.
