Bregje Korthals Altes specialises in international commercial arbitration with a particular emphasis on sectors such as energy and natural resources, healthcare, telecommunications and technology. Her arbitration experience includes numerous ad hoc arbitrations under UNCITRAL rules and institutional arbitrations under the auspices of the ICC and the Netherlands Arbitration Institute (NAI). Bregje regularly appears as counsel in arbitrations concerning long-term supply contracts, warranties, distribution and infrastructure projects. Recent arbitration work includes price review arbitrations with values up to US$ 1 billion and more.
Bregje also has significant experience before Dutch courts, where she represents numerous clients in procurements matters, and has also argued cases before the European Court of Justice.
In addition to her practice, Bregje regularly lectures at the University of Amsterdam.
