In particular Evert-Jan has expertise in the field of co-determination, equal treatment, pensions and industrial actions.

- advising on co-determination and employment aspects of the acquisiton by Fortis of parts of ABN AMRO, the divestment of Philips’ semiconductor business and the divestment of AKZO’s pharmaceutical business.
Recent litigation work includes:
- litigation for Royal Ahold N.V. against two of its former board members and the subsequent settlement of Ahold’s claim, litigation on age discrimination and on “due care obligations” of board members of pension funds and litigation on various dismissal cases of board members and high level executives.
He also advised Unilever on the closing of three of its sourcing units in the Netherlands and is presently involved in HR aspects of Unilever’s acquisition of Sara Lee’s Household & Body Care business.
