Jan Pieter Hustinx's current focus centres in De Brauw's Information, Communication and Technology practice, in transactions involving the development, exploitation and transfer of intellectual property rights, software implementation and licensing and IT outsourcings. In addition, Jan Pieter is regularly involved in technology related M&A deals.

As an IP litigator Jan Pieter inter alia dealt with high-end patent disputes, frequently cross-border in nature. He also represented the largest Dutch telecom provider in and out of court in over 50 disputes in all fields of IP. In the area of ICT, he assisted several multinational clients in averting the impact of failed IT projects.

Jan Pieter spent part of 2003 as special foreign counsel at Allens Arthur Robinson in Sydney, Australia. He has also practised law in France and the US. Jan Pieter is an active member of several national and international professional associations and is on the executive board of the Assocation for Advertising Law.
