Simone Kooij specialises in intellectual property law, with a particular focus on entertainment, media, marketing, copyrights, trademarks and advertising. Previously, Simone was a member of De Brauw's M&A practice. Currently, she litigates on behalf of national and international clients in all aspects of intellectual property matters. She also advises on non-litigious matters, including the drafting and negotiating of IP (licence) agreements.

Simone is a graduate of the University of Amsterdam. After completing her degree, Simone was in-house legal counsel for an international multimedia and television production company where she gained significant experience in legal matters concerning production and exploitation of content, such as broadcasting, sponsoring and merchandising.
