Dirk Meerburg's practice encompasses the full spectrum of financing. His areas of expertise include banking, equity financing, structured finance and corporate finance transactions. He has advised on a large number of equity offerings, including IPOs, public tender offers and tier 1 financing transactions. He also advises on complex questions relating to consolidated regulatory supervision of banks and financial conglomerates.

Dirk was resident partner of De Brauw's New York office from 1982 to 1985. He was a visiting scholar at Harvard Law School in 1997 to 1998, where he did research on US federal banking and securities law, and is an alumnus of Sullivan & Cromwell. In 2004 he published a report on the role of the securities lawyer under US federal securities and Dutch securities law for the “Dutch Association of Jurists” (“Nederlandse Juristen Vereniging”).
