His practice ranges from high-profile second phase merger control cases before the European Commission and the Dutch Competition Authority to litigation on complex state aid and internal market issues before the European Courts. He won the largest damages case against the European Community ever on account of unlawful legislation. He often works closely together with partners in De Brauw’s IP and Tax practices on multidiscplinary assignments.

Recent work includes acting for both merging parties in a large dairy companies merger before the European Commission and coordinating all other merger control filings worldwide.
