Ton specialises in public and private M&A transactions as well as private equity transactions. He has a specific track record and expertise in public M&A and cross-border dealmaking. Ton was the resident partner of De Brauw New York from 2007 to 2011 and regularly works with US firms on matters involving Dutch and US clients. During his time in New York, Ton advised corporates such as Pfizer and Host Hotels as well as private equity clients CVC, Sun Capital, Silver Lake, Riverstone and Providence. De Brauw New York also handles restructurings and refinancings for various clients, which contributes to Ton's M&A expertise. Since returning to the Amsterdam office, Ton has led De Brauw teams on deals for Wolters Kluwer, PostNL and Cabot Corporation.

He is an active member of the International Section of the American Bar Association, the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association and of the International Bar Association. He is also a member of the American Chamber of Commerce in the Netherlands.
