Cindy Smid is a senior associate in the firm's Investment Management Group. Cindy focuses on investment management and corporate law and specialises in the structuring and restructuring of investment funds (including both retail and private equity funds). She also advises clients on their corporate structure and corporate governance and on financial markets regulation.

Prior to joining De Brauw, Cindy worked more than seven years in the corporate (M&A and capital markets) practice and has been involved in a variety of (national and international) corporate transactions including (de)mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, restructurings and all types of share transactions.

The last year, Cindy also devoted a substantial part of her time on the training and coaching of the associates that joined the firm and start in the "Brauwerij" (our office training programme). Cindy was responsible for the training on corporate law.
