Klaas de Vries specialises in corporate law and insolvency law. He advises multinationals and private equity firms on mergers and acquisitions as well as on restructurings and other insolvency related aspects.

His recent work includes advising on (distressed) M&A transactions and on complex multi-jurisdictional restructurings, in close cooperation with financial advisors and foreign legal counsel.

Before returning to Amsterdam in 2009, Klaas was seconded to De Brauw's New York office for two years, focusing on mergers and acquisitions as well as on banking and finance.
