Our Investment Management Group (IMG) conducts a unique practice in the Netherlands, focusing on the asset management industry in the broadest sense. The group advises on the structuring and formation of private equity and hedge funds, retail and other investment institutions, and also acts in other asset management transactions, in particular in the area of institutional fund management. In addition, IMG advises on financial markets regulation, product development and investment fund listings. The practice encompasses the relevant disciplines, namely company law, property law, notarial law, financial markets regulation, pension law and tax law. In cross-border matters IMG works closely with top tier firms in other jurisdictions.

We are regularly consulted by the Dutch Ministry of Finance and by The Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) on new legislation and policy rules. We are also active in various initiatives taken by the Holland Financial Centre. IMG’s partners are frequent speakers at industry conferences and seminars and lecture at post-graduate educational programmes on financial markets regulation and other subjects relevant to the asset management industry.
