De Brauw has advised NXP Semiconductors on forming a joint venture with STMicroelectronics in the field of semiconductors for cellular communication, contributing both their wireless business, in which NXP took a 20% stake and STMicroelectronics took an 80% stake, with an equalizing payment of USD 1.55 billion.
