Pink Elephant is De Brauw’s network for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender colleagues and allies. The group aims to foster an open-minded, integrated culture within our firm by engaging LGBT+ colleagues and allies through positive initiatives to promote an inclusive working environment. Pink Elephant does this through formulating policies, engaging in pro bono work and community projects, and organising events for colleagues and clients.
Pink Elephant collaborates with De Brauw’s Best Friends on a semi-annual basis to exchange experiences, challenges, ideas, lessons learned and best practices regarding LGBT+ acceptance, inclusion and opportunities in the professional environment of a law firm.
De Brauw co-founded the Dutch legal LGBT+ network Stichting FORWARD, together with other leading firms. Stichting FORWARD organises networking events for LGBT+ individuals and allies working in a legal environment and creates a platform for the exchange of experience and best practice.
