Master Class – Legal privilege & discovery issues in international disputes

The increased use of discovery and document disclosure in international dispute resolution also has an impact on the legal privilege of communications by in-house counsel and external advisors. This means that companies and counsel alike need to be aware of the limits of legal privilege, and implement strategies to safeguard this privilege.

In this master class Eelco Meerdink and Martje Verhoeven-de Vries Lentsch discuss the main characteristics of legal privilege, what it means for external and in-house counsel, how various jurisdictions address it, the differences in both arbitral proceedings and civil litigation, and the key takeaways in dealing with privilege in an international legal environment.

Date, time and location

This Master Class will be held at our offices in Amsterdam on Thursday, 31 January and Friday, 1 February from 8:00 to 10:00. Of course a delicious breakfast will be awaiting you when you arrive. Please note that our Master Classes are based on invitation only.
