Master Class - Keeping up with recent trends in the loan markets

The Rock banner 02

During this Master Class, Menno Stoffer and Bas Boutellier will discuss key trends in the post-Covid loan markets, including the cessation of LIBOR, the increased focus on ESG financing and the rise of direct lending. After looking at sample drafts and case studies, participants will come away with concrete tools to use when assessing or negotiating financing arrangements. Naturally, participants will have the opportunity to share their own views and experiences.

This Webinar Master Class will be held on Friday, 3 December from 08:30 to 10:00 via MS Teams.

Speakers

Menno specialises in (international) financing and restructuring matters. He advises on a wide range of financing matters (banking, acquisition, asset, structured and project finance) both in a going concern context and in distressed or complex situations. In these matters, Menno combines a deep market practice knowledge and expertise with tactical and strategic advice for directors and management on how to deal with special situations. Menno acts for corporates, financial institutions and private equity investors. Menno has also practised law at De Brauw London and De Brauw New York.

Bas Boutellier

Senior Associate

Bas specialises in general banking, finance and restructuring matters - his recent Executive Master in Finance demonstrates his deep knowledge of corporate finance that goes beyond the legal aspects of matters. His practice covers the full spectrum of finance and capital markets transactions, and often involves highly complex and multi-faceted cross-border matters. Bas have taken leading roles in negotiating large (sustainability-linked) corporate credit facilities, implementing acquisition financing arrangements for transformative acquisitions and designing comprehensive capital restructurings both in- and outside of distressed situations. He also has substantial expertise in the field of project financing and construction. Bas' client base runs the gamut from large listed and non-listed corporates, to financial institutions and private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies. As a result, he is very comfortable on all sides of the table.
