Gaby Smeenk and Dennis Horeman have been named partner at law firm De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek. By appointing these two partners De Brauw is responding to the increasing demand of its clients for legal advice on mergers and acquisitions and proceedings in the area of insurance.

 

Martijn Snoep, managing partner of De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek: “We are pleased to appoint two home-grown partners. Gaby and Dennis both have expertise fitting the needs of our clients. This year, compared with recent years, the number of mergers and acquisitions has clearly increased. Mainly transactions of international companies established in the Netherlands. Gaby is an experienced lawyer in that field. Dennis is specialised in the field of insurance, another area in which our clients increasingly want to be advised. Dennis mainly focuses on the contractual relationship between companies and their insurers. In addition, Dennis is active in the field of liability of financial services.
