De Brauw appoints new partner

De Brauw has appointed Matthias Kuscher as partner.

Matthias is specialised in international arbitration and cross-border litigation, with a particular emphasis on complex international disputes involving private parties and state actors.

He has acted as counsel in numerous large-scale international disputes – relating to energy, infrastructure, construction and intellectual property – under ICC, UNCITRAL, DIS, Swiss, VIAC, NAI and ICSID rules. Matthias is a seasoned advocate, having appeared before numerous tribunals and having cross-examined a wide range of factual and expert witnesses, including CEOs, auditors, forensic accountants, economists, commodity traders, physicists, engineers, and a former Member of the European Court of Justice. He also frequently acts as an arbitrator in international disputes.
