Pension funds get clarification on derivatives transactions in amended rules

A number of general pension funds have recently experienced difficulties when entering into derivatives transactions with banks. This was due to some banks’ fear that their receivables from derivatives could not be charged to the funds’ assets. This issue has now been resolved by a clarifying amendment to Dutch pensions regulation.
