Chaggai Kon specialises in corporate law, particularly mergers and acquisitions. He advises listed companies, large multinational corporations and private equity firms on cross-border public and private M&A. While he works with a variety of businesses across all sectors, he focuses on medical and software-related transactions. With his practical approach and entrepreneurial spirit, Chaggai excels at driving transactions to a successful conclusion, all the while keeping the best interest of his clients at the forefront.


Before joining De Brauw in 2018, Chaggai worked at two other leading independent law firms in the Netherlands. Chaggai has also worked in corporate litigation, where he has represented large corporate clients in both jurisdictional and multi-jurisdictional litigation.


Chaggai has completed an MBA Highlights Programme focussing on corporate finance at INSEAD in 2017.


Chaggai’s recent work includes advising:

  • HEMA and its senior secured bondholders on the 440 million sale of HEMA to a consortium backed by Parcom and the Van Eerd family
  • CM.com on the acquisition of the Point-of-Sale payment acceptance software & development company PayPlaza
  • AkzoNobel on its announced EUR 1.3 billion public tender offer for Tikkurila
