Maarten specialises in corporate law, particularly M&A and corporate governance. As part of the corporate practice group, Maarten acts for listed companies, large multinationals and private equity funds on public and private M&A transactions, joint ventures, corporate governance and listing rules.

Maarten also has a background in cross-border patent, trade mark and copyright litigation before EU courts and national courts at all levels, including the Netherlands Supreme Court. He has advised on IP-related topics, and has published a book on the protection of trade secrets.
