Due to his in-depth multidisciplinary expertise – bridging corporate advisory, M&A and real estate law – Mark is frequently involved in complex international transactions.

Mark advises clients ranging from multinational companies to private equity firms, on joint ventures, acquisitions, divestments, governance matters, corporate structuring, real estate transactions and contract law. In addition, he often coordinates and works closely with other specialist De Brauw teams when vision and know-how are required in a broader spectrum of legal issues. Mark is a member of our dedicated team working on infrastructure and energy projects, where his combination of skills and expertise is invaluable.

Mark’s recent work includes advising:

  • HEMA on the sale of its bakeries to Bacu
  • Ørsted in the sale of its 50% stake in the 752 MW Borssele 1 & 2 offshore wind farm to Norges Bank Investment Management
  • Tata Steel on various matters
  • Intergamma on the buy-out of its largest franchisee, CRH/Van Neerbos, and on the related corporate restructuring
  • Bouwinvest on various Dutch real estate investments and divestments
  • Klepierre on various Dutch real estate transactions
  • Shell on the sale and transfer of its former office and R&D location, Kessler Park in Rijswijk
  • Egeria on its takeover of Fletcher Hotels from NIBC and Xead
  • various private equity firms on the structuring of their investments
