Mieke’s expertise is litigation, with a focus on intellectual property and other commercial disputes. Her recent experience includes defending a client in a series of international disputes with a competitor regarding alleged misappropriation of trade secrets.
Mieke has also gained experience in competition law and energy law. She has been involved in multi-jurisdictional investigations, merger filings, and both civil and administrative litigation before Dutch and European courts.
In addition to a degree in Dutch law, Mieke obtained an LLM degree from the University of Iowa College of Law, where she focused on innovation and competition policy, intellectual property and US antitrust law.
