Remco Kloppenburg is an all-round litigation lawyer, focusing in particular on contract law and insurance law. He has advised on numerous disputes regarding contract interpretation and regularly litigates before the Dutch courts. In addition, Remco is specialised in attachment and enforcement law, working with law firms worldwide on coordinated enforcement actions.
Since joining De Brauw in 2013, Remco has also gained experienced in the field of general banking and corporate finance, advising listed corporates on complex cross-border financing and restructuring transactions, and assisting clients in negotiations with their financiers.
Remco lectures the extracurricular pre-master course Legal Contract Drafting at the University of Amsterdam. He was seconded to De Brauw’s London office in 2014. As well as LLM degrees in Civil Law and Criminal Law, Remco also holds an MSc degree in Business Economics.
