Thyla specialises in debt and equity capital markets and in mergers and acquisitions. She advises on all aspects of securities offerings and listings, including prospectus requirements, as well as on securities delisting. She has for example worked on the initial public offering of Philips Lighting and assisted Rabobank in its offering of new Rabobank Certificates. Thyla also advises listed companies on their compliance with ongoing financial markets regulation obligations, including obligations related to inside information and market abuse, and with stock exchange rules. Prior to joining De Brauw’s corporate department, Thyla worked on complex, cross-border arbitrations and assisted in the enforcement of international arbitral awards.
Thyla is a board member of the Dutch legal LGBT Network, Stichting FORWARD, which was co-founded by De Brauw. Prior to joining De Brauw, she was a researcher and teacher at Leiden University and worked at various international organisations and tribunals.
