Bas van de Scheur specialises in employment law and employee benefits. Since joining De Brauw’s Employment practice in 2014, he has been advising on a wide range of employment-related issues, including individual and collective employment conditions, dismissals, employee transfer, co-determination, and equal treatment. Bas has assisted clients in the Corporate / M&A practice with social and employment law aspects of mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and outsourcings.
Bas obtained his Ph.D. in European competition law from the European University Institute in Florence in 2013. He has advised in numerous national and cross-border antitrust matters and merger filings from De Brauw’s offices in Amsterdam and Brussels and represented clients in EU state aid litigation.
