Summary

Gertjan is a senior associate in De Brauw's litigation practice. He specialises in litigation, particularly Supreme Court litigation. In Supreme Court proceedings, Gertjan represents clients in a wide range of matters from disputes over commercial contracts, to professional liability and intellectual property.

Gertjan regularly advises clients on complex contract and liability matters.

In addition, Gertjan advises corporate clients in insurance matters. He regularly acts for corporate insureds in disputes relating to insurance coverage in the areas of product liability, professional liability and D&O liability.

  • Converse in Supreme Court proceedings concerning a long-lasting dispute against a company distributing counterfeit shoes.
  • SRLEV in several proceedings, including a collective action, on interest-linked insurance disputes.
  • Deloitte in Supreme Court proceedings on a professional liability claim.
