Mark Biesheuvel heads De Brauw's litigation practice. Mark specialises in EU and Dutch competition law, including mergers, cooperation agreements, cartel investigations and alleged abuses of dominant positions. He has acted on several landmark cases before the European courts in Luxembourg.
Mark litigates before the European Commission and the Dutch competition authority (the NMa) and represents companies before administrative, civil and European courts, and before arbitrators. He advises on compliance with competition law in general, including tailor-made compliance programmes, management training, mock dawn raids, and in particular cases, such as existing and envisaged cooperations, distribution and marketing practices).
Mark's career in law has included the position of associate professor at the University of Leiden and legal secretary to the EC Court of Justice in Luxembourg.
