Arne Grimme acts for a number of publicly listed companies, other multinationals and private equity firms. He specialises in public and private M&A and private equity. Arne has particular expertise in public to private transactions, leveraged buy-outs and complex cross-border transactions and corporate restructurings. He regularly works with leading law firms in other jurisdictions.

 

He has a particular focus on the business and financing aspects of the transactions.  Clients recommend him as “’a strong deal leader with a good helicopter view, practical deal skills’, and for being, ‘deal-oriented but firm’.”

 

Recent work includes advising:

·       Smit Internationale on the EUR 1.35 billion merger with Koninklijke Boskalis Westminster.

·       Fortis Bank Nederland on the sale of Intertrust to Waterland Private Equity through a competitive controlled auction. The sale involved 23 jurisdictions.

·       Schiphol Airport Group on the industrial cooperation and cross-shareholdings with Aeroport de Paris (ADP). Schiphol acquired a stake of 8% in ADP for EUR 530 million and issued an 8% stake to ADP for EUR 370 million.

·       NXP Semiconductors on forming its multi-billion joint venture with STMicroelectronics in the field of semiconductors for cellular communication in which NXP will take a 20% stake and STMicroelectronics will take an 80% stake, with an equalizing payment of USD 1.55 billion.

·       Philips on the EUR 7.2 billion divestment of its semiconductors business to Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co., Silver Lake Partners and AlpInvest Partners.

·       VNU on the EUR 8.7 billion public offer by Valcon Acquisition, a consortium of six private investors led by KKR.

·       BAM on the public offer for AM Development
