Marc Ynzonides is a member of De Brauw's managing committee and practice head Litigation. He specialises in litigation and arbitration. He acts on behalf of national and international companies in all types of litigation and in all courts of the Netherlands, including the Supreme Court. He represents clients in both contractual and non-contractual claims.
He works together with the M&A department in pre and post merger claims. He also cooperates closely with De Brauw’s C&R practice in damage actions for breach of antitrust rules. In arbitration he appears as counsel in both national and international arbitrations, and also acts as arbitrator. In international litigation and arbitration he regularly works with other international law firms.
Recent work includes defending construction firms in numerous anti trust proceedings and acting on behalf of banks in various liability matters. Marc also handles all major claims against one of the Big Four accounting firms in the Netherlands. He was recently involved in arbitrations against an international supermarket operator and a leading semiconductor company.
Marc is vice chairman of the Dutch State Advisory Committee on Procedural Law. He also serves as a substitute judge in the Court of Appeal in Arnhem. Marc has written numerous publications and lectures frequently on various aspects of Dutch procedural law and arbitration.
