Geert Potjewijd new managing partner of De Brauw

Geert Potjewijd is the new managing partner of De Brauw, succeeding Martijn Snoep. Geert has broad experience in international matters and was the first resident partner of De Brauw’s office in China from 2010 to mid-2014. Geert, with Bernard Spoor and Eelco Meerdink, form the managing committee of the firm. After six years as managing partner, Martijn Snoep has returned to practising law, focusing on EU competition and regulatory matters, partially from De Brauw Brussels.

Martijn Snoep: ‘With his broad experience, we have complete trust in Geert’s ability to carry out our current strategy, which is aimed at further improving our services to clients in matters in the Netherlands and abroad. In recent years, we have successfully given an important boost to this strategy. I now look forward to returning to the practice after six fun years of looking at it from another angle, and to continuing to carry out De Brauw’s strategy in my day-to-day work, partially from our office in Brussels.’
