Arjan Kleinhout returns to De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek as Of Counsel

Arjan Kleinhout rejoins De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek as Of Counsel from 15 October 2026. He specialises in public law and EU regulation. His focus areas are energy and environment, state aid, market regulation and public enforcement. 

Kleinhout started his career at De Brauw in 2005. He built his practice in high-profile cases, advising and litigating on important and complex regulatory matters. Kleinhout left the firm as Partner on 1 July 2025 to join the judiciary. He has since decided to return to private practice.
