The International Tax Review recently designated the Best Friends Network as European Tax Disputes Firm of the Year at an awards ceremony in London.
The awards, which have been running since 2005, were presented at a dinner at the Savoy Hotel. They consisted of national trophies for the best tax and transfer pricing firms in 27 jurisdictions.
Together with its Best Friends, De Brauw also won the European Consumer Products Tax Deal of the Year for advising the combination of Coca-Cola enterprises with Coca-Cola Iberian Partners and CCEAG to create Coca-Cola European Partners, structured as tax inversion. And the European Financial Services Tax Deal of the Year for advising ABN AMRO on its IPO.
De Brauw has been part of the Best Friends network for a number of years. The members are all renowned firms and market leaders in their jurisdictions: Slaughter and May (UK), Bredin Prat (France), BonelliErede (Italy), Hengeler Mueller (Germany) and Uría Menéndez (Spain).
