Dealing with joint and several liability when settling mass damages claims

For parties facing mass damages claims, it may be a more attractive option to settle than to litigate against a large number of claimants. But a settlement does not automatically secure ''global peace'' in an international context. To achieve this, there are unique challenges to overcome that require careful analysis.
