Helen has extensive experience in all aspects of competition law, including merger control, cartels, dominance, vertical restraints and state aid. Clients value her in-house and private practice expertise, which allows her to understand business drivers and offer clear and practical advice, even in the most complex of matters. She has particular expertise and interest in digital markets, including mergers in this field and the convergence of competition law with consumer and data protection. She also advises on competition law issues in a wide variety of other sectors, including life sciences, energy, industrial/chemical and sustainability.
Helen joined De Brauw in September 2018, moving from her position as Director Competition Law at Akzo Nobel NV, where she was responsible for competition law and merger control matters globally. Prior to this, Helen spent 12 years advising clients on competition law at two international law firms in London, Brussels and Amsterdam. She has worked extensively with economists across a range of matters.

Roos manages those cases where the transactional aspects of intellectual property rights are a central element of the matter. She has over nine years of experience in the IP practice and is a seasoned transactional lawyer. She advises on, negotiates and drafts IP-related agreements and structures. Roos is closely connected to De Brauw's Corporate department, and forms part of multidisciplinary teams for M&amp;A-related matters, financing and restructuring. Roos is often is involved in matters where intellectual property law, contract law and competition law intersect. In that regard, her knowledge of and experience in competition law serves her very well.

Henk specialises in corporate and tax law and, in particular, mergers and acquisitions and private equity structuring. Heather is a counsel at De Brauw’s Corporate practice and is based in Amsterdam. She has a broad-based background in M&amp;A law from North American and European perspectives. 
Heather has advised on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, divestments, joint venture arrangements, complex carve-out transactions and private equity investments in a broad range of industries. Her clients include domestic and international corporate clients in a variety of industries, and private equity funds.
Heather holds degrees from the University of Toronto and the University of Oxford. She is qualified to practice in New York, and prior to joining De Brauw, she practiced at a major international law firm in New York.
