Joint venture Tata Steel Group and thyssenkrupp AG

De Brauw, as part of an integrated team with Slaughter and May in the United Kingdom and Hengeler Mueller in Germany, is advising Tata Steel Group on its 50/50 joint venture with thyssenkrupp AG. The new joint venture will combine their European steel activities, and will be managed via a holding company based in the Netherlands. The joint venture will have flat steel shipments of around 21 million tonnes and a pro forma turnover of around EUR 15 billion per year.

De Brauw partners Anja Mutsaers, Mark Rebergen, Niek Biegman and Barbara Kloppert-van Duren worked with Best Friends firms Slaughter and May (Robin Ogle, Padraig Cronin and Andrew McClean) and Hengeler Mueller (Christof Jäckle and Karsten Schmidt-Hern).
