Mariken is head of our Financial Markets Regulation group and co-head of our Financial Institutions group. She focuses on matters of strategic importance to financial institutions –with a particular emphasis on regulatory capital transactions, recovery and resolution planning, and governance – and she has broad experience in advising on regulatory matters that arise in complex transactions. Mariken also advises on licence requirements and on the ongoing obligations for a broad range of financial institutions, including banks, brokers, insurance companies and payment institutions.
In 2019, Mariken was inducted into the Legal 500 category 'leading individual' in the 'Banking and finance: Financial services regulatory'.
