Willem advises listed companies and financial sponsors on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and general governance matters.
He has particular experience in bilateral and auction sale processes, public-to-private transactions (both recommended and hostile takeovers), and shareholder activism issues. His practice also includes advising clients on the fiduciary duties of boards, equity investments, stock market disclosure rules, and takeover defences.
Before joining the firm’s Corporate/M&A practice, Willem formed part of De Brauw's Corporate Litigation practice.
