Senior Assistant - Corporate

We are looking for a Senior Assistant for our Corporate section (1FTE).


In this role, you will mainly support the practice head of Mergers & Acquisitions and Capital Markets (MACM). You will be responsible for providing optimal, independent and (personal) administrative support. In addition, you will perform billing activities and coordinate certain processes within the practice and projects of the head of MACM in close cooperation with the (leading) Senior Assistant to the Head of MACM.

For this role, your main tasks are:

  • complex agenda management
  • inbox and sent items management (identifying actions; iManage filing)
  • providing support in respect of various administrative tasks (e.g. preparing statements of disbursements and CCV statement, feeding our CRM system and managing Insider Lists)
  • recording and monitoring due dates, deadlines and terms
  • creating and managing files and presentations based on examples and / or instructions from the lawyers
  • preparing the draft version for legal documents independently; collecting and processing the information
  • correcting and overseeing the layout process, and sending out documents
  • assisting in organizing (international) business development and Best Friends trips
  • giving assistance in organizing events, such as get togethers or (closing) dinners with clients
  • communicating regularly, internally and externally, by phone and email, and following up accordingly
  • registering and maintaining client data and information, and identifying opportunities to have relationship-building communication with clients
  • responsible for the engagement letter / New Business Intake process / fee arrangements / fee updates / lawyers letters
  • responsible for invoicing running matters and payment thereof
  • assisting in secondary activities for several Board positions
  • arranging practicalities around giving lectures, workshops and writing articles
  • responsible for the organizational aspect of the People Leadership program (a structured initiative designed to enhance the leadership skills and competencies of individuals within De Brauw)

Who are you?

You have/are:

  • a vocational degree (MBO) and professional ability at higher professional education level (HBO)
  • knowledge of legal terminology/procedures
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in a similar position (preferably within the legal sector)
  • an excellent command of Dutch and good command of English, both written and verbal
  • sufficient knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs and applications
  • a customer-focused attitude
