Amsterdam, 31 March 2022 - De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek appoints Arjan Kleinhout as partner in its Litigation practice. Daniël van Gerven to become counsel in the Employment & Employee Benefits practice.

Arjan Kleinhout appointed partner
Arjan started his career at De Brauw in 2005, becoming both a top litigator in high-profile cases, and the go-to-person for complex and high-end regulatory matters. He specialises in public law and EU regulation, and focuses mainly on energy and environment, state aid, market regulation and public enforcement. Representing clients before national and European administrative and civil courts (including the Court of Justice of the European Union), he often negotiates before regulatory authorities.
Daniël van Gerven appointed counsel
Daniël specialises in employment law and employee benefits in the broadest sense. As part of our Employment and Employee Benefits practice, he is often involved in transactions at the intersection of Capital Markets, M&A and employment law. Daniël specialises in advising on remuneration and management agreements of managing directors and advising and litigating on transfer of undertaking (TUPE), co-determination, as well as reorganisations, collective dismissal programmes, and traditional employment matters. He is also a lecturer on Dismissal Law at Erasmus University, Rotterdam.
