De Brauw restructuring practice recognised in GRR 100 and winner at GRR Awards 2019
De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek has been recognised in Global Restructuring Review's (GRR) 2019 survey of the leading international restructuring practices in the world. Every year, GRR does research into firms across the globe who offer advice on the largest cross-border restructuring and insolvency matters. De Brauw makes a very strong first-time listing in the GRR 100.
In addition, De Brauw won three awards at the annual GRR Awards on 15 June 2019. De Brauw was the winner of the regional law firm that impressed award. GRR also honored De Brauw's work on Oi's USD 20 billion restructuring with the award for 'Cross-border cooperation in a specific restructuring or insolvency matter', and its work on Isolux's cross-border restructuring with the award for 'Noteworthy Spanish restructuring matter'. The GRR Awards recognise the most impressive restructuring and insolvency matters and firms of the past year.
GRR 100
The GRR 100 is a product of eight months of extensive research and gives a detailed insight into the work of the listed firms. It summarises the De Brauw's restructuring practice as follows:
"De Brauw has a long-standing tradition in the restructuring and insolvency fields, and the firm has been involved in “virtually every” milestone Dutch restructuring or insolvency over the last three decades, as well as many major multi-jurisdictional cases."
