There is a lot of debate about so-called 'self investigations' and the guidelines that apply to the parties conducting the investigation on behalf of an organization. This article provides a general overview of the framework that a lawyer must meet when conducting such an investigation. This framework finds its basis in core values and the (professional and conduct) rules that apply to lawyers and has developed over the years through disciplinary law. Click here for the article.
