After a delay of more than a year, the Whistleblowers Directive was very recently implemented. This was done by amending the House for Whistleblowers Act, which was renamed the Whistleblower Protection Act on that occasion. An underexposed topic is the requirement introduced by the Directive to give whistleblowers feedback in response to their report. This requirement has potentially important implications for companies.
