Hein Koster is a key lawyer in De Brauw's employment law practice. He specialises in employment law and employee benefits, advising and representing clients in a broad range of individual and collective labour mattes. His practice covers both strategic advisory work and complex litigation, often at the intersection of employment and corporate law. Hein has particular expertise in co-determination processes, collective redundancies, and workforce reorganisations. Laura is counsel in the firm's Corporate/M&amp;A practice. She specialises in advising listed companies, large multinationals and private equity firms on M&amp;A transactions, including cross-border deals. Laura also has experience advising clients on a wide range of regulatory and compliance matters, particularly in the context of M&amp;A transactions.
Between 2016 and 2018, Laura was based in De Brauw's Singapore office, where she handled cross-border enforcement matters and internal investigations for EU companies involving foreign regulators. She was seconded to Heineken International in 2015 and to Flow Traders in 2022.
Laura is a guest lecturer on M&amp;A compliance and regulatory topics at the VU Law Academy.

Sophia specialises in international and Dutch tax law, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and financing matters. She regularly advises public and private businesses on a wide range of tax issues, including strategic and financial acquisitions, divestments, reorganisations and tax controversies.

Henk specialises in tax and corporate law and, in particular, mergers and acquisitions and private equity structuring. Since joining De Brauw, Henk has advised numerous multinationals and private equity clients on public and private transactions, leveraged buy-outs, complex cross-border transactions, corporate restructurings, financings and refinancings, and the structuring of management incentive plans.
Legal 500 has recognised Henk as a "leading individual", with Chambers stating that Henk is "up and coming". In 2020, 2021 and 2023, Henk was nominated by MenA.nl (the Dutch M&amp;A awards) as Best M&amp;A Tax Adviser, and he won this award in 2024.

Clients value her in-house and private practice expertise, which allows her to understand business drivers and offer clear and practical advice, even in the most complex of matters.
She regularly advises international companies on their European and international M&amp;A and competition law matters including AkzoNobel, Booking.com, Just Eat Takeaway, Celanese, DSM-Firmenich, TomTom and SHV. 
Helen is one of the ACM's five non-governmental advisors supporting the development of competition policy within the International Competition Network. She teaches students of the Grotius Academie and of the Brussels School of Competition Masters programme. She is dual-qualified as both a solicitor (England &amp; Wales) and Dutch advocaat. Helen is also included in Global Competition Review's prestigious Women in Antitrust list and is part of the leadership team of W@ NL, a platform to promote female talent in the area of competition law.
